Our group was launched in January 2013 at Katsura Campus in Kyoto University as a project research team of Prof. Susumu Kitagawa’s laboratory. We are focusing on fundamental chemistry as well as application of porous coordination polymers (PCPs) which is also called metal organic framework (MOFs) known as novel porous solids. Our primary research target is preparation of new PCPs having unprecedented function of molecular adsorbent, molecular separation and molecular catalyst, exploiting viewpoints of coordination chemistry, organic chemistry as well as structural science.

We are mainly supported by ACCEL project of Strategic Basic Research Programs of Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), Grant-in-Aid for COE Research of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), and X-ray free electron Laser project of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Japan (MEXT)
